The beginning of the the calendar year is an ideal time to make a marketing plan. Especially if you are in private practice it is so important to have a plan and goals. It makes it much easier to keep track of what you are doing and how well you are doing.
[themecolor]I offer both long time coaching and one time consultations to help you get started and keep you on track.[/themecolor]
[themecolor]So what is important in your marketing plan?[/themecolor]
- Your goals
o Keep them small so they are attainable.
- Your budget
o Know how much you are willing and able to spend
That is the base of your plan. Once you have that in order you can look on how to attain your goals.
[themecolor]Will you have a website?[/themecolor] I think that these days especially an online counsellor should have a website. It doesn’t have to be fancy. I fact it works even better when it isn’t. But it should be up to date and offer valuable information for clients.
[themecolor]Is a website enough or will you add Social Media.[/themecolor] Why Social Media? Because it’s a great way for potential clients to get to know you. They can see that you share valuable information, that you know what you are talking about and that you reply to questions promptly. If people follow you on Social Media for a while they are more inclined to go on to your website and read the information there.
But that is not all. Social Media posts are indexed by search engines. If you use your keywords clever, there is a big chance that people will first find you on Social Media and not through your website. So it is another way to be found online.
Facebook is now the second search engine after Google. People can now actually search for counsellors right there on Facebook. And they may decide to follow a couple before making the decision to choose one.
These are just a few things to consider in your choice of plan for 2015.
